A Little More Love in Bloom | A Precious Maternity Session at Knobstone Flower Farm

There are some sessions that feel like so much more than taking pictures. They feel like stepping into a little chapter of a family’s story—and this maternity session at Knobstone Flower Farm in Indiana was exactly that. 🌸

We had the incredible privilege of photographing this sweet family when they were expecting their first little one, Chrysanthemum. Now, somehow, that tiny baby we once photographed is a little girl who is quite literally flying through the air in her daddy’s arms, full of personality, joy, and so much love.

And this time, we went to a flower farm for a brand-new chapter: baby Clover is on the way. 🌿

There was something especially beautiful about watching their family together this time around. Mama is glowing as she carries their next little girl, Daddy is soaking up every moment with his girls, and Chrysanthemum already seems to understand that something very special is coming.

Surrounded by rows of colorful blooms, warm summer light, and the beauty of the farm, we captured the kind of moments that make our hearts pause—the little looks between Mama and Daddy, Chrysanthemum snuggled close, tiny hands resting on Mama’s belly, and the anticipation of meeting the newest member of their family.

And maybe our favorite part is knowing that this isn’t just a beautiful maternity session.

It’s part two of their story with us.

We got to photograph them before Chrysanthemum entered the world, and now we get to document her becoming a big sister. There is something so incredibly precious about watching a family grow in front of your camera. The little baby from their first session is now running, laughing, being tossed into the air, and getting ready for her biggest role yet.

Knobstone Flower Farm was the perfect backdrop for this chapter—with flowers blooming all around them, it felt almost symbolic of what was happening within their family, too. Something beautiful was growing, changing, and getting ready to bloom.

We are so grateful that they trusted us to document these moments again. What an honor it is to photograph a family once, and then have the joy of being invited back as their story continues to unfold.

Chrysanthemum, you are already the sweetest big sister. And Clover, you are so very loved before you’ve even arrived. 🌸🌿
